Privacy Policy
Last updated August 22, 2026
This policy explains what information Kingsgate collects from visitors to this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to delete it. It applies to this website and to the chat widget on it. It does not apply to services we provide after you become a client, which are covered separately in your engagement paperwork.
Information we collect
Chat conversations. If you use the chat widget, we store the full conversation, including any name, email address, or other information you choose to type into it.
Payment information. If you start checkout, payment is handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not receive or store your card number — Stripe’s own privacy policy governs how it handles your payment details.
Basic technical information. We use one cookie to remember which language you chose (English, Spanish, or Portuguese). We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
General location. When you submit our LLC-formation quiz, we record which country your visit came from, using a signal our hosting network already provides automatically — not your IP address, and not a separate tracking script or cookie. We use this only to understand, in aggregate, where visitors are located.
Agreement records. When you accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy at checkout, we keep a record of that acceptance: your name, your email address, the date and time, the exact version of each document you were shown, and the IP address and browser the acceptance came from. This exists so that both of us can show what was agreed and when. We do not use it for advertising or analytics.
Why we collect it
We use chat information to answer your questions and to follow up with you if you ask us to. We use payment information, through Stripe, to process your order. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
General website and chat information — questions you send us before you become a client — is kept until you ask us to delete it, or until it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.
If you become a client and we form your company, records connected to that engagement (including identity documents, formation paperwork, and related compliance records) are kept for a legally required minimum period after the engagement ends, under federal recordkeeping rules that apply to a business like ours. We cannot delete those records early, even if you ask us to, while that minimum period applies.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, what information we have about you, and you can ask us to delete it, subject to the minimum retention period described above for formed-client records. Write to [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time.
How we protect your information
We store this information on Cloudflare’s infrastructure. Right now, access is limited to Kingsgate’s founders. As we grow and hire additional team members, we will implement role-based access controls so each person only sees what they need to do their job. No method of storing or transmitting information is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top.
